Members serve the community hot dogs and chips during the 2022 Safety Day in the Prairie, a community events that allows people to meet and get to know our Pleasant Prairie Fire Department.
Twice a year, September and April, club members head to our adopted highway starting at the corner of 116th Place & 39th Avenue and pick up trash. Can you believe we actually make pickup up trash fun? then we head over to our favorite breakfast place and laugh over the interesting objects we find.
There's a new club in town! Kenosha Lakeside Juniorette's all all middle school students (12-14) who possess all the core values as the adult clubs in making positive change in our community. Members of PPWC were honored to attend their installation and shower them with gifts.
Did you know that since the very beginning of Pleasant Prairie Woman's Club in 1964 we have always done a "Mental Health" party? Thru the years it has evolved and for the past 30 years we have been hosting a BINGO Party at Dayton Residential Care Facility. We supply the prizes and the treats and they provide the FUN!
To give back to the community that has blessed us year after year, PPWC adopts a family for the holidays. The past few years we have adopted a family from St. Mary's Catholic church and a committee of members take the families wish list and go shopping. Then while we are celebrating the season at our holiday party, members wrap the gifts purchased.
Always looking for projects to do we got in contact with our good friend Santa Clause and asked him if he needed any help and he did! We were tasked with responding to letters written by local 4K students. What a fun experience, thanks SANTA!
To show our appreciation to the officers of Pleasant Prairie Police Department we made them Mugs of Hugs which contained hot chocolate, marshmallows, cookies and candies.
.Another new project we have started is Birthday in a Box that we donated to the Shalom Center Food Pantry. If a child has a birthday they are given this box that includes everything you will need to make a birthday cake even the candles.
